Steve the Gasman wants 5 new gas certificates and 1 new boiler installation every week. This makes him about £750 per week in profit on top of his other emergency jobs.

He pays us £200 per week as a retainer, and then £20 per gas certificate and £100 per boiler installation. (He only pays us the commission part when he gets paid).

He knows that if he spends his time doing 'gas work', he can earn much more per job than he pays us. Also, if he had to generate new leads as well, he would not be out there fitting as many boilers (and boilers are so his bag, baby).

In this example, he turns over an EXTRA £750 per week from the boiler & safety certificate jobs we get him. From this, he pays us £400, leaving him with an extra £350 per week to spend on gas fitting magazines (and the like).
